Topic: Organic Synthesis Innovation in Drug Development

Abstract: Rapid assembly of Carbon-Nitrogen bond or synthesis of Nitrogen-containing natural products, such as alkaloids has gained momentum for its enormous potential for discovery and development of medicines. The rich abundance of N-bearing scaffold in drug molecules and the lack of efficient synthetic method have been instrumental in driving forward the goal of our research.

充值送平台 In this lecture, I will present our recent research efforts in organic synthesis, both in terms of new reaction design, and in the synthesis of complex biologically active molecules. I will highlight the major discovery of the new type of Ullmann reaction and will discuss both the opportunities and challenges in the organic synthesis, which is inspired by the small molecule drug development.
